Profile

I'm a radio producer, studio manager and A/V technician with over a decade of experience across BBC, commercial and community radio. I love what I do — whether that's getting the best sound out of a studio desk, making content that connects with people, or helping a team out of a technical hole.

Outside of work I mentor young adults through the Rotary Youth Leadership Award in District 1040, and provide music for wedding, prom and Christmas receptions as a DJ.

  • Run the studio day-to-day — booking sessions, looking after clients and keeping everything technical ticking over.
  • Shoot and edit all studio content in DaVinci Resolve, working with Blackmagic Pocket G2 cameras, an ATEM Mini ISO Extreme and a RØDECaster Pro II.

  • Worked sporadically over 10 years as a freelance A/V technician in hotels across Leeds and further afield, setting up PA systems, wireless microphones, video cameras, lighting rigs and projectors.

  • Made sure 5 Live sounded its best — operating the Studer OnAir 3000 and applying EQ, compression and processing across live output.
  • Edited audio for broadcast and podcast, and supported teams with outside broadcasts, camera setups and vision mixing.

  • Produced Bradford Bulls Live across a full Rugby League season.
  • Created longer-form content including a documentary marking 125 years of the RFL, and Bradford Bulls: In Conversation — an interview series with club legends.

  • Started in Drivetime production before moving into programming — scheduling playout, training presenters and supporting the tech team.
  • Built out the station's social and online presence, produced YouTube content and led outreach sessions teaching people with disabilities to use radio equipment and present.

I also DJ events across Yorkshire — everything from elegant weddings and black-tie galas to proms, Christmas parties, and corporate nights. It's the same crowd-reading instinct I use in the studio, just with a packed dancefloor instead of a mixing desk.

Having played all kinds of spaces across the region over the years, I can adapt to pretty much any crowd or vibe. I'm also a resident DJ at The Venue at Bowers Mill, The Arches in Halifax, and The Moorlands in Halifax, where I get to bring the party week in, week out.

My background in radio means my music knowledge runs deep. From timeless classics and forgotten 90s gems to today's top charts, I know what works — and more importantly, when to drop it. Whether you need a sophisticated backdrop for dinner or a wall-to-wall banger session to finish the night, I tailor the music to the room so it lands just right from start to finish.
